This one was splashing a lot

Hm, you are not there....... Oystercatcher and Whimbrel

Quite impossible to get close but still a nice experience. Both places in the same area. I was standing on a dirt road in between them. Good place, great birds in both directions.

A lone bird was landing on the lavafield. It allowed me to come rather close before it took off. I was happy because I never seen it so close before.
