 Starling and Bison

It was quite cool to see the starlings visiting the Bisons just the same way the Cattle Egrets usually do. The starlings snatched insects the same way. This place is probably too far north for the egrets.

  1. Oh the starlings have a lot of tricks for survival. They are clever birds and very successful as a species ... but kind of ugly just the same. I love the bison ... were these taken in Yellowstone? How is you winter going ... we are in the teens here, but very little snow. But, we have only just begun, ugh :(

  3. Great find! I had a buffalo encounter out in South Dakota and wouldn't like getting that close. Brave bird!
