This one was splashing a lot

Hm, you are not there....... Oystercatcher and Whimbrel

Quite impossible to get close but still a nice experience. Both places in the same area. I was standing on a dirt road in between them. Good place, great birds in both directions.

Enkelbeckasin - Gallinago gallinago - Common Snipe

This seemed to be a common bird in Iceland. At least in the southern part of the island. I could easily get used to hearing its sound in the sky. You hear them long before you see them. To bad I found no video that had teh sound.

Strandskata - Haematopus ostralegus - Eurasian Oystercatcher

With the sighting of Oystercatchers in Queensland too I have now seen this species in 5  or 6 countries from Iceland down to Queensland. But I am still happy when I see it.  :)
Iceland, Scotland, Sweden, Morocco, Australia and maybe, Camargue in France (but that I have to check out)

This is not a great image but it was a treat to watch. The Oystercatcher herded the goats away from its nest. There was a pair of birds. One stayed at the side of the road and the other one herded the goats away. :)  Image taken from inside the bus.
