Stormfågel - Fulmarus glacialis - Northern Fulmar

I was happy to see this Fulmar on the whaling trip. Most time you see it in a distance or high up on a cliff. Looks mostly like a usual gull then. But seeing it up close it is a different story. I think sweet is a good word to describe it.

Better then whales? Yea, almost! I was happy when I saw this bird passing by our boat when we were on a whale watching trip. A couple of years ago I went to Scotland only to see it. And I did.

 Rödvingetrast - Turdus iliacus - Redwing

I did not recognise this Redwing at first as I rarely see it at home. And when I do it is not this colorful as I see it in winter time. This is breeding plumage. I did see this all over Iceland and it was very common there.

This one is closely related to the one we have in Sweden. I can´t tell them apart for sure. I have to trust the book.
