Some well known birds from many places that I also found in Japan. The first two I know from Sweden, where I live and the Little egret seem to be all around the globe except for the northern part.

When we had breakfast this little Blue rock trush female met us at the bus. This bird turned out not to be a trush. Think it belongs to the flycatchers.

Kyushu is a subtropic island so I think the wagtail did not expect all this snow. It did seem a bit lost in it. The snowflakes are almost as big as the bird.

Black-backed wagtail or kamchatka/Japanese pied wagtail, similar to M. a. yarrellii, but has a black eyestripe and white remiges; might have a claim to constitute a distinct species.
